Link-Up events are quickly becoming a staple in the local community
NYAP The Link-Up events, hosted at The Gathering House, are quickly becoming a staple in the local community, offering families a space for connection, support, and access to valuable resources.
The inaugural event, “Back to School with Julie,” was a resounding success, attracting a diverse group of 30 attendees. Families from various backgrounds enjoyed the event, which included games for children in the backyard and delicious pizza from HotBox Pizza.
The second Link-Up event, sponsored by Old National Bank, focused on financial literacy. Fifteen attendees enjoyed pizza and snacks while learning practical budgeting skills from expert speakers. These partnerships with local businesses have been instrumental in providing additional resources and support to the community.
The next Link-Up event is scheduled for October 9th and will focus on online safety. Detective Larry Bendzen from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be the guest speaker. Detective Bendzen is a member of the Hamilton County Metro Child Exploitation Task Force and will provide valuable insights on protecting children online.
